Named for the mixologist in Thailand who first concocted this cocktail for me. Think of it as the laid back mellow cousin of the bolder Old Fashioned. Less sweet than the original served to me, it only works with dark rum such as Myer’s Dark Rum. Blended with the Angostura Bitters and Orange Bitters, it is reminiscent of sultry tropical nights sitting under palm trees. The blending directions are very specific as directed by Anurat! This cocktail provides wonderful before or after dinner drink with Thai or tropical dinners. Place the rock glass in the freezer to chill before you mix the drink.
2 parts Myer’s Dark Rum
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 dash Orange Bitters
1 splash water
1-2 t simple syrup
cubed ice
1 orange
